What are the advantages of quadra profiles compared to stripe profiles in a vapour pressure distributing bituminous membrane?

A vapour pressure distributing bituminous membrane is applied on substrates where air or moisture may be present under pressure. Vapour pressure distribution helps to reduce the risk of blistering in bituminous waterproofing systems.

Quadra profiles always guarantee the most efficient vapour pressure distribution in all four directions of the bituminous membrane. The spacing between quadra profiles is significantly larger (70 mm) compared to stripe profiles. As a result, there is much less risk of the channels being sealed off by foot traffic or welding.

In contrast, the layout of stripe profiles is such that vapour pressure relief along the sides is not always ensured, and often only takes place in two directions.

Important:
Vapour pressure distributing bituminous membranes must not be applied vertically. For these applications, full adhesion is always required.
