1. Stains from still wet bituminous coating:
- Solvent-based coating: Clean the stains with a clean cloth and white spirit. This works best as long as the coating has not yet cured.
- Water-based coating: Use a clean cloth and water to clean the stains.
2. Stains from cured bituminous coating:
If the coating has already cured, it is more difficult to remove the stains. Follow these steps:
- Remove as much of the cured coating as possible by mechanically scraping it off (for example, with a spatula).
Then clean the remaining stains with a brush or cloth and white spirit.
