The installation of the bituminous top layer should proceed as simultaneously as possible with the application of the self-adhesive vapour pressure distributing underlayer (Quadra).
The wind uplift resistance of the bituminous roofing system is ensured by the fully torched top layer bonded onto the underlayer, and by the adhesion of the underlayer to the IKO Enertherm ALU insulation board.
The self-adhesive Quadra profile of the IKO base Quadra SA underlayer is thermally activated during the torching of the top layer, which directly creates adhesion to the ALU facing of the IKO Enertherm insulation boards.
