How should IKO Enertherm PIR insulation boards be installed on rofiled teel sheets?

Installation Guidelines:

  • The substrate must be dry and free of debris or contamination.
  • On a profiled steel roof, the long edges of the insulation boards must be installed perpendicular to the corrugations.

The short edges (head joints) will therefore run parallel to the direction of the corrugations.

  • Short edge joints between adjacent boards must always be staggered by at least 20 cm.
  • When applying multiple insulation layers, the joints of each layer must be offset from those of the layers below.
  • Insulation boards must be installed tightly against each other, without gaps.
Any gaps near detailing or connections must be sealed after installation using a suitable PU foam.

Cut the insulation precisely to fit around roof penetrations or other roof openings. To ensure the continuity of the insulation around these details, any remaining openings must be filled with appropriate PU foam.
